While maintaining a primary emphasis on the history and activities of lesbians and gays in the San Diego County (California) / Tijuana (Baja California Norte, Mexico) Region, Lambda Archives of San Diego also includes information documenting gay and lesbian culture worldwide. We collect materials relating to all ethnic groups, economic levels and special interests. These collections are kept in archival quality acid-free storage containers to insure their long life. Although most of our collections date from 1970 to the present, there are some original materials dating back to the 1930's.
