Bonfante Gardens Seven Sycamores Over 80 years ago a farmer/architect developed a way to graft trees that he kept secret--a secret that he took to his grave many years ago. But his legacy lives on in the many bizarre trees to be found in what is now called Bonfante Gardens, near Gilroy, CA. This "Seven Sycamores" is just one example.

Deinonychus This subject, on loan to San Diego's Natural History Museum from the California Academy of Sciences, was Michael Crichton's inspiration for his novel, "Jurassic Park," according to a museum employee today when I shot this cha-cha.

Jacarandas in San Carlos Jacarandas blooming in San Diego, CA offer a colorful sight.

Mountain Lion Also at San Diego's Natural History Museum, I shot (cha-cha) some taxidermist's pride and joy: the California Mountain Lion, the subject of several news stories, lately. I dare ya to stick your finger in his mouth!
