Marina Park Pet Policy
-
MARINA PARK PET REGISTRATION POLICY: A
mandatory Pet Registration Form (Attachment 1) will be completed by all
pet owners. Tag information ensures that all pets have required
vaccinations (important to the safety and health of all pets). The form
asks for the veterinarian’s name and the name of an alternate contact
that has access to the pet in the event of an emergency. Failure to
complete the form is subject to penalty imposed by the Board of
Directors.
-
PET RULE ENFORCEMENT
PROCESS (Attachment 2): This
document outlines a set of steps for reporting and controlling pet
problems such as noise, lack of restraint on premises, destruction or
damage to common property, etc.
In the
case of a barking K-9 it is recommended that the pet owner purchase a
citronella collar or other device to curb incessant barking. Owners
will be given every reasonable opportunity to correct or control the
problem before any penalties or fines are imposed, but continued
violation of the rules or continued disturbance will not be tolerated.
Fines
will be in addition to an assessment levied to reimburse the
Association for expenses and costs. Fines for continuing or repeated
violations may be increased in minimum $25.00 increments and up to a
maximum of $100.00, daily, weekly or monthly, at the discretion of the
Board. Four (4) or more violations assessed to a single unit in any
six (6) month period may result in additional fine of up to $1,000.00
at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
-
CLEAN-UP MATERIALS: Paper towels and
carpet approved cleaner will be placed in the Garbage rooms on each
floor and in the garage. In the event of an “accident” in the hallways
or other common areas, the responsible individual will have access to
materials for a quick clean-up. The “accident” should also be reported
to the lobby attendant who will notify maintenance. Cameras monitoring
garage activity will also assist in knowing when there is a need for
immediate response from maintenance.
-
PET LOVERS BROCHURE: A “Good Pet Owner”
guide will be developed by the Canine Club and posted on the web site.
It will also be added to Welcome package along with the Pet Registration
form and Pet Rule Enforcement Policy.
-
PET CONTROL IN COMMON AREAS: All pets
must be under the immediate control of their owners (on a leash or in a
carrier) at all times while in common areas such as the hallways,
elevators, garages, and walkways.
-
UNATTENDED PETS OUTDOORS:
No pets may be left
outdoors (on a balcony or patio) unattended. When an owner is not at
home, all pets must be confined indoors, with sliding doors and windows
closed if necessary to control any noise or disturbance to neighboring
units.
