Waterfront Improvements To Move Forward

CCDC's board has approved recommending that the City of San Diego and the Unified Port District go forward with the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan (NEVP) using the proposed framework for providing the $27 million in financing for construction of Phase 1 and $6 million for Phase 1a.  This funding plan requires the Port to maintain the Phase 1 improvements for 30 years.   Phase 1 involves the improvements to West Broadway and Harbor Drive.  Phase 1a involves lowering the crest of West Broadway and the right-of-way improvements along West Broadway from Harbor Drive to the railroad tracks.  It is now hoped that the long delayed NEVP will finally move forward.  All details can be found on the CCDC Internet site www.ccdc.com.
